Dear Parents and Families,
We are thrilled to officially launch the Da Capo Academy of Performing Arts and welcome you to our exciting new home alongside the JAAC in St Martin where I have now taken over the running of the full site.
This first year marks a fresh beginning for Da Capo in our new home alongside the JAAC in St Martin, where I have now taken over the running of the full site. Although this move has come about in circumstances we hadn’t anticipated, we are fully committed to making it work for your children. We are working hard to ensure everything is in place for a successful launch, with teaching and rehearsal spaces ready for all students. As we settle in, there may be occasional adjustments to room locations while we find the best setup to support your children’s learning and enjoyment. We’re especially excited that both students and parents will be able to enjoy the outdoor areas and café facilities as part of the Da Capo experience.
We are delighted that our new home will also offer a welcoming café space for families to relax while waiting, along with on-site parking and extensive outdoor space for students and families to enjoy. To support families with transport, we are planning a minibus service, which we aim to have running in the new academic year.
One of the most exciting parts of this new venture is that it will allow us to introduce a bursary scheme to support access to music education for families who need assistance. It also opens the door to collaborations with other organisations, with the scope to offer holiday camps—both residential and day-based—on and off island in the future. Additionally, the new space will enable future collaborations with overseas musical establishments to further enhance the provision for musical education at Da Capo. We already have some exciting projects in the pipeline, which we look forward to sharing with you soon.
We would love families to work with us during this transition period and first academic year, and we welcome your thoughts and feedback so that Da Capo can be a true community project for all.
We’re also finalising our catering options, with plans for an after-school tuck shop and the ability for families to pre-order meals. More details on this will follow shortly.
Over the coming year, we will continue to adapt and improve the site to meet the Academy’s needs — so we kindly ask for your patience during this process.
We’re also planning a launch event where you’ll be invited to visit the site, explore the facilities, and meet our team — stay tuned for details!
Once students are signed up, their teachers will be in touch regarding timetables. Invoices will be issued termly in advance.
