Flute, Piano, Theory
Claire Harvey – Principal
Claire is a highly experienced flute teacher and chamber musician. A past Jersey Young Musician of the Year, she has guided students to national orchestras and scholarships. She leads Flutasia, teaches theory and piano, and serves as Da Capo’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. Claire is also a qualified ABRSM examiner.

Violin
Young-Pyo Lee
Young-Pyo studied in Bordeaux and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has performed with major orchestras across Europe and taught on courses internationally. He is a regular tutor in Jersey and a violin faculty member with London Music Masters.

Cello, Double Bass, Luthier
David Davies
David graduated from the University of Durham with a BA (Hons) in Music, later training in instrument making and repair at the Newark School of Violin Making. He has taught in schools in the UK and Jersey, works as a freelance chamber musician, and is active in Jersey’s music scene, performing with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Jersey Chamber Orchestra, and as co-founder and joint-president of the Jersey Camerata.

Strings, Piano, Chamber, Pre-School
Julie Robinson
Julie studied at King’s College London and recently completed an MA in String Teaching. She performs locally on violin, viola, and cello, and leads ensembles at Da Capo and JASTO. She also teaches pre-school and chamber music, and is active across the Island’s music scene.

GCSE, A-Level, Theory
Jo Taylor
Jo holds a BMus, PGCE, and AMusTCL, and is a Senior Examiner for Edexcel. She has taught across all ages in Jersey schools and currently leads piano, woodwind, theory, GCSE and A-Level. She is experienced in composition workshops and ensemble coaching.

Singing
Nicki Kennedy
Nicki is a celebrated soprano with an international performing career in Baroque and Classical music. She has recorded film soundtracks, taught at Cambridge and on national youth courses, and brings a wealth of experience in solo and ensemble singing to her teaching.

Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet
Andrew Harvey
Andrew trained with the Royal Marines Band Service, where he received the Prince’s Badge for best all-round musician, and later became Flute and Saxophone instructor at the Royal Marines School of Music. He studied for a BMus (Hons), performance diplomas and a teaching diploma, and has lived in Jersey for 10 years, working as a woodwind tutor across many schools. He also conducts local ensembles and has taught music at Jersey College for Girls since 2024.

Brass, Guitar
Dominic Pallot
Dom studied music at Kingston University and was awarded Jersey Young Musician of the Year. He teaches both guitar and brass, encouraging students of all ages to develop their skills and confidence. Alongside teaching, he performs widely across the island in concerts, recitals, weddings, and outdoor events, and holds a regular Sunday slot at the Savoy Hotel. His repertoire blends classical and flamenco traditions.

Krystian Lamb
Krystian graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2018 and works as a composer, pianist, songwriter, and producer. He is versed in the classical tradition while also active in contemporary popular music, collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists on original projects. His teaching draws on both his classical training and creative work, bringing a broad perspective to piano and composition.

Richard Lewis
Richard Lewis is an accomplished classical pianist and prizewinner at Trinity College of Music, where he studied with Alfred Kitchin, Denis Matthews, and Peter Feuchtwanger. His performances are celebrated not just for their technical finesse but also for his personable storytelling—Richard frequently shares insightful anecdotes that illuminate the music he presents.

Piano
Elena Fedorenko
Elena graduated from the Odessa National A.V. Nezhdanova Music Academy and the Royal Academy of Music in London, gaining a Master’s in Piano Performance with Distinction. With 14 years’ teaching experience, she works with all ages and abilities, preparing pupils for ABRSM, Trinity and Rockschool exams. She teaches a wide range of styles from classical to contemporary and jazz, inspiring creativity and imagination in her students.

Musicianship Team, Advanced Music Theory Groups
Tim Evans
Tim has worked on over 150 major theatrical productions across the UK, Ireland, and the Channel Islands, including for the BBC. An experienced orchestrator, his arrangements for Oh What a Lovely War are performed worldwide. He has lectured in Musical Theatre Composition at the London College of Music, and in Jersey is well known as a Musical Director, accompanist, and theory teacher.
