Inters Orchestra
The Da Capo Inters Orchestra is a friendly, supportive ensemble for young musicians with basic playing experience (approximately Grade 2–5). It is an ideal next step for students who are ready to move beyond individual lessons and experience playing as part of a larger group.
Rehearsals focus on listening, teamwork, and ensemble skills in a positive and encouraging environment. The orchestra performs in termly concerts, giving students regular, well-supported performance experience, and provides a clear progression route into the senior JASTO orchestras.

Chant’tie
Chant’tie is a vocal ensemble associated with Da Capo, offering singers regular opportunities to develop ensemble skills, musicianship and confidence through high-quality performance. The choir performs frequently at concerts and events across Jersey and has appeared at Government House, reflecting its involvement in prestigious and formal performance settings.
Chant’ie is known for its collaborative work and has performed at several events with soprano Georgi Mottram, who is a patron of the choir. These collaborations provide members with valuable experience of working alongside a professional musician.
Alongside its regular concert programme, Chant’ie takes part in larger-scale and orchestral projects. The choir is given the opportunity to perform annually with a live orchestra, supporting musical development through experience with orchestral accompaniment.
Most recently, Chant’ie performed with the Jersey Chamber Orchestra at the Jersey Opera House, taking part in a Music in Action concert and gaining valuable experience performing on one of the island’s major stages. Through these performances, Chant’ie plays an active role in Da Capo’s artistic programme and Jersey’s wider music community.

Flutasia
Flutasia is a well-established flute ensemble associated with Da Capo, created to give flautists regular ensemble experience and a strong performance profile. The group performs frequently in Jersey at concerts, festivals and Da Capo events, and has taken part in a wide range of community music initiatives.
Flutasia also performs annually in the Jersey Eisteddfod, demonstrating a consistent commitment to high performance standards. During periods when live music was restricted, the ensemble continued to rehearse and perform remotely, maintaining its presence and musical standards.
The group focuses on flute-choir repertoire and brings together players of different ages and abilities to perform as a cohesive ensemble. Flutasia is led by our Principal, Claire Harvey.
Alongside its concert work, Flutasia has a strong record of community engagement and outreach. The ensemble has performed at Bloodwise charity events, supporting fundraising through live music, and has performed regularly at care homes, bringing music to residents and supporting wellbeing.
Flutasia has also toured beyond Jersey, including performance tours to Sark and France, representing Da Capo internationally while gaining valuable touring and performance experience.
JAM Saxes
JAM Saxes is an active and well-established saxophone ensemble associated with Da Capo, providing young saxophonists with regular ensemble experience and performance opportunities. The group performs frequently at Da Capo concerts and public events across Jersey, including appearances at community occasions such as local fayres and showcase events.
JAM Saxes explores a range of ensemble repertoire with a particular emphasis on jazz and contemporary styles, helping players develop ensemble skills, confidence and stylistic awareness.
The ensemble has also gained recognition through its participation in competitive and showcase events. JAM Saxes has been successfully featured in jazz and ensemble competitions, including receiving recognition in the Gordon Young Jazz Award for Ensembles, highlighting the group’s strong performance standard.
Through regular live performances and involvement in Da Capo’s wider concert programme, JAM Saxes offers its members valuable real-world performance experience while contributing positively to Jersey’s music community.
JASTO
JASTO (Jersey Academy Student Teacher Orchestra) is Da Capo’s flagship community orchestra, bringing together advanced instrumental students, teachers, and visiting professional musicians for high-level orchestral music-making.
Open to musicians playing at Grade 5 standard and above, JASTO offers young people and adults the opportunity to rehearse and perform challenging repertoire alongside experienced mentors, gaining insight into orchestral technique, ensemble skills, and performance practice.
JASTO performs a wide range of orchestral repertoire, from major classical works to accessible and exciting music drawn from stage and film. Concerts are led by visiting professional conductors and soloists, giving participants the opportunity to work at a genuinely high musical level.
A highlight of the Da Capo calendar, JASTO provides musician with the chance to experience large-scale orchestral performance while learning directly from teachers and professional players.
2026 Major Orchestral Concert: Saturday 4 July — a spectacular concert with a distinct Proms theme conducted by Gerben Grooten, an internationally respected conductor with extensive experience working with professional and advanced youth orchestras across Europe.
Da Capo Returners
Da Capo Returners is for adults who enjoy playing music and are returning to ensemble playing after a break. If your New Year’s resolution is to dust off an old instrument — whether a fiddle, trombone or oboe — or even to start learning an orchestral instrument for the first time, this group is designed to welcome you.
Rehearsals are friendly, supportive and community-focused, with an emphasis on enjoyment, confidence and playing together. There are no auditions or minimum standard requirements, and parts can be adapted to suit individual players. New members are always welcome.
Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, and every rehearsal is followed by tea and cake.
The group performs in termly concerts and also takes part in an annual concert with JASTO, giving members the opportunity to perform as part of a larger orchestral event.
DC Singers (Adult Choir 18+)
DC Singers is an adult choir for anyone who enjoys singing, or would like to start, in a welcoming and supportive environment. Open to singers of all backgrounds and experience levels, the choir focuses on enjoyment, confidence, and making music together.
There are no auditions, and sessions are relaxed and inclusive, with vocal technique and musical skills developed naturally through singing as a group. Repertoire is wide-ranging and shaped by the interests of the choir.
Rehearsals are professionally structured, with prepared rehearsal tracks available to support home practice. Above all, DC Singers offers a friendly, social space to sing regularly and be part of a musical community.
